6 Kronies traveled to Vietnam in late October and toured from Ho Chi Minh City in the south to Hanoi in the
North and all the interesting places in between. Two more sites off of the things to see before you die list,
according to the book.
Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The junk with 3 sails is our ship.

A White Thai Village in the Mai Chau Valley. 3
long hours by van SW of Hanoi. Try the wine.
Christel, Nancy, Bruce, Judy, Fran, & Susan in
front of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi.

A paper shop in the city of Hoi An. Not the balloon
festival in Albuquerque.
The city of Hoi An along the Tu Bon River from
the roof dining terrace of the Cargo Club. The
best two meals (we ate their twice) in Vietnam.

A street restaurant in Hanoi. A place we did not
even try.
One Pillar Pagoda, Hanoi  The French burnt the
original, built in 1049. This is a replica built in 1955
after the French were kicked out after a 100 year
occupation of  the country.

Saigon, now Ho Chi Min City, along the Saigon River
from the roof of the Majestic Hotel. Traffic in all
directions never stops moving. Fun to watch. Not so
fun to walk across the street.
